Windows 7 support will end on January 14, 2020
As you may have already seen from the notification on your desktop screen Windows 7 will be ending its support on January 14, 2020.
What does this mean?
After January 14, 2020, if your computer is running Windows 7, it will no longer receive security updates and your computer’s operating system can be vulnerable to infection. Microsoft customer service will also no longer be available to provide Windows 7 technical support.
What do I need to do?
Compatible Windows 7 PCs can be upgraded to the latest Microsoft operating system Windows 10 by purchasing and installing a full version of the software this will provide the latest security updates to help keep your data safer.
If your computer is a little older Wise I.T. recommends moving to a new device with Windows 10. Today’s PC computers are faster, more secure, and with an average price that’s significantly less than that of the average PC computer eight years ago.

CanI still download Windows 10 for free?
Unfortunately Windows 10 free upgrade offer ended on July 29, 2016. To get Windows 10 you will need to purchase a new computer or, if you have a compatible computer, purchase a full version of the software to upgrade your existing device.
Wise I.T. recommends that you don’t install Windows 10 on an older computer, as some Windows 7 PC computers are not compatible with Windows 10 or could experience reduced features. If you continue to use Windows 7 after support has ended, your computer will still work, but it will become more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. Your computer will continue to start and run, but you will no longer received software and security updates from Microsoft.
